jaswant-thada

Beautiful memorial in marble often described as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar” was built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singhjill of Jodhpur (1873-1895) by his son Maharaja Sardar Singhji (1895-1911) completed in 1906 A.D.

Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park was created in 2006 to try
and restore the natural ecology of a large, rocky wasteland next to Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.

Café Mehran

The Museum café is crafted to complement the superb period ambience achieved by the architects and builders of the fort with rich motifs of Marwar floral painting decorating its gateways. Located in the inner courtyard of the fort, the café offers a mix of traditional and western delicacies and light meals in a setting unparalleled in the city at an extremely affordable rate.

palki Café

Just beyond the main entry gate of the fort (between Jai Pol &DedhKangra Pol), is the Palki Café; a Global snack bar that offers popular & familiar snacks from around the world with some generic beverages options at display. The guests get to curb their hunger needs under the most colourful kite shaped tent overhead seated on comfortable cushioned seats.

Visit the Chokhelao Bagh which sits at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort. This over two hundred-year-old garden, complete with the scents, sounds, and textures of a garden of the eighteenth century Marwar has been turned into a Botanical Museum by the Mehrangarh Museum Trust.

Ahhichatragarh Fort literally translates into ‘fort of the hooded cobra’ is situated in Nagaur. Spread over 36 acres, the fort was in a state of neglect till the 1980s. In 1985 the fort was placed in the care of the Mehrangarh Museum Trust.
